Mission of the Mississippi FFA Foundation
The Mississippi FFA Foundation Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit educational organization with the overall purpose of furthering education, leadership, recognition, and career development for student members of the Mississippi FFA Association. The Foundation is chartered by the State of Mississippi and is governed by a Board of Directors.
Contributions are tax deductible.
Goals
The major goals of the Foundation include the following:
- Promote the educational programs of the Mississippi FFA chapters throughout the state.
- Promote and stimulate interest in agricultural-related careers, leadership and professional development for Mississippi FFA Chapters.
- Receive and provide funds for awards, scholarships, or other appropriate recognition to deserving members and to administer the granting of such recognition.
- Promote and develop interest on the part of the general public in Agricultural Education, including activities of the Mississippi FFA Association.
- Publish and disseminate information to assist and otherwise develop and execute plans for the encouragement and improvement of the Mississippi FFA Association and the Agricultural Industry at large.
Other Activities
In addition to providing financial support for many activities and projects, the foundation maintains and operates the C.M. Brewer Leadership Conference Center located in Raymond, Mississippi. This modern Facility is used regularly for student leadership conferences and educational workshops. The center includes sleeping facilities for students and leaders.
